 Kern Dass, President |
Mr. Dass’ employment career spans some 20 years and is comprised of a mix of Operations, Engineering, Marketing, and Business Development. Of those 20 years, fifteen have been in a senior managerial capacity. He has extensive experience with regional business ventures and has developed strategic international alliances in the oil/gas sector with Petrobras, ANP and INMETRO, Brazil, and ASPRO, Argentina for CNG.
He holds an Executive MBA-International Marketing, from the Institute of Business, University of the West Indies, and a MSc. and a BSc in Electrical Engineering from Howard University in Washington DC, USA. Mr. Dass was appointed President of the National Energy Skills Center effective January 3 2012. His appointment comes at a crucial time for the NESC. His prowess in new business development and operations management makes him the ideal leader for a company on the brink of transformation. His experience in negotiations, international marketing and business development will undoubtedly assist the NESC as it takes its brand globally in the months and years ahead. |
 Afzal Muradali, Vice President - Training |
Mr. Muradali has a long career in vocational training and the administration of apprenticeship training. Highlights of his career include member of the Board of Industrial Training (BIT) and Project Manager/Advisor for the retraining of former Caroni workers. He has extensive training both locally and internationally, having been received training in the UK, Brazil and Germany. He has held the position of Vice President – Training at the National Energy Skills Center (NESC) and has responsibility for planning, implementation and management of eight (8) Skills and Technology Centres and twenty-one (21) ICT Centres throughout Trinidad and Tobago. |
 Aline Jones McLean, Vice President – Corporate Services |
Mrs. Jones-McLean, an ACCA qualified Accountant, joined the NESC family in 2007. As the Vice President – Corporate Services she has direct responsibility for Finance, Procurement, Staff Welfare and Relations and Human Resources. Mrs. McLean has been instrumental in the development of financial and procurement policies and procedures and is the main point of contact between the company’s financial and internal auditors. |
 Glenroy Duke, Vice President – Projects and Facilities |
Mr. Duke joined the NESC in 1999 and held a number of port-folios including that of centre co-ordinator for the NESC Centres at Point Lisas and Laventille. In 2006, a Project Unit was established with Mr. Duke appointed as the Head. Mr. Duke now holds the position of Vice President – Project and Facilities and is responsible for Capital Projects and Facilities Maintenance. The physical transformation of the NESC’s over the last three years, is in no small measure due to the effective management of Mr. Duke and his ability to bring together the various skills of his department to the benefit of NESC’s staff and its trainees. |
 Rafael Mohammed, Vice President - Training and Business Development |
Mr. Mohammed joined the NESC in 1999 and has held positions in the computer literacy, finance and operations auditing departments. He has been involved in a number of critical projects and initiatives throughout his tenure, including projects and programmes which have lead to the turn-around of the NESC. Mr. Mohammed holds the post of Vice President – Training and Business Development and has direct oversight over Records and Registration, Business Development and Industry Liaison. Mr. Mohammed is currently pursuing a Master Degree in Human Resource Management. |
