Graduates in this area may decide to become self employed as they are in high demand, alternatively, they may wish to select a job in the Construction industry where they can be employed as Tile layers or Construction Craftsmen.

This programme will impart to its participants the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue a successful career in the field of Construction Technology. The following areas will be covered during the programme:

Course Details

  • Blue print reading interpretation for material acquisition
  • Identification of basic tools of the trade
  • Location, marking and transferring of points
  • Soldering and brazing of copper tubing and fittings
  • Creation of compression joints
  • Installation of waste pieces, taps, traps, sanitary fixture and valves
  • Selection of DWV fittings in accordance with local code requirements
