A Rig Electrician maintains the drilling rig’s electrical motors and engines, electrical and communication wiring and accessories.

Course Details

On completion of the programme trainees should be able to:

  • Test Electrical Equipment
  • Maintain and Repair Power Generation and Distribution Systems
  • Maintain and Repair DC and AC Motors and Controls
  • Maintain and Repair Rig Electrical Circuits
  • Maintain Auxiliary Rig Electrical Equipment and Small Appliances
