Air conditioning and refrigeration involves the maintenance, repair and overhaul of industrial, commercial and residential refrigeration and air conditioning systems and their component parts.

At installation sites, refrigeration and air conditioning personnel assemble and install air-conditioning and refrigeration systems and components. Persons are also required to start up systems, test lines to detect leaks, and record the readings taken to ensure that the system is functioning satisfactorily Maintenance work involves checking all parts of a system, lubricating moving parts and monitoring the refrigerant charge. When there is a malfunction, the craftsman diagnoses the problem and fixes the unit by replacing or repairing controls, calibrating related controls, electric wiring or other parts.

  • Select, use and care temperature measuring equipment
  • Select, use and care leak detecting equipment and vacuum pumps
  • Select use and care micron gauges, hermetic analyzers and pressurizing equipment
  • Use and care portable charging station/refrigeration manifold gauges
